Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport
Covers over 470,000-square-meters the Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is projected to serve up to 60 million passengers a year, once two additional runways are completed.
In late 2020 Salt Lake City opened its new airport – one of the most environmentally friendly in the U.S.
The new Salt Lake City airport is a shining example of a modern airport. It’s the first airport in the U.S. since 2000 to be awarded the LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council for its energy-efficient and environmentally friendly construction and operations.
The new airport was built on the same site as the old one, with the whole project delivered without disrupting flight operations or passenger journeys. During construction, which began in 2016, a total of 95% of the building waste was reused.
Our engineers installed no fewer than 126 elevators, escalators, and moving walks. With our state-of-the-art, energy-efficient installations, the new airport opened for business in September 2020, and it will be fully completed in 2024.
