Schindler's global purchasing organization is managed by a network of category and country teams, who work closely together to achieve maximum results.
Five strategic sourcing offices serve our global operations while the management of global categories and suppliers is consolidated into the European and Chinese teams.
Our Global Strategic Sourcing Organization focuses on the following 3 areas:
- Lead the management of the spend categories, driving multi-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies as well as manage the supply base.
- Identify potential savings opportunities across zones, as well as playing a stronger role in providing expertise, qualified & hands on support and personnel development, hiring, and competency assessment.
- Provide what is needed to fulfil the essential requirements of Sourcing: practical tools and processes, checklists and the respective support as routines, manuals etc. for level a (max contributions within one location).
