Uptown Tower Dubai, UAE

Uptown Tower is a mixed-use development comprising offices, residences, a five-star hotel, as well as restaurants and retail space

With breathtaking views of Dubai's waterfront and iconic skyline, Uptown Tower, is the first of two supertall towers set in the heart of the new Uptown Dubai district. Developed by DMCC, Uptown Dubai is located in New Dubai and the entire complex was constructed with sustainably at its core – with Uptown Tower achieving LEED Gold certification.

Standing 340 meters tall, Uptown Tower, is a mixed-use development comprising offices, residences, a five-star hotel, as well as restaurants and retail space. We installed 14 Schindler 7000 elevators – including nine double-deck elevators, a first in the Middle East – together with 13 Schindler 5500 elevators and eight Schindler 9300 escalators to service the 81 floors and up to 3,500 people using the building each day.

Temperatures in Dubai regularly reach 40°C (104°F), with 90% humidity in the summer – which posed a significant safety risk during construction. This is where our Schindler R.I.S.E robot proved invaluable – with its ability to drill holes and set bolts no matter the temperature.
