Schindler gewinnt Auftrag für neues Projekt im Hafen von Sydney

Schindler liefert 106 Aufzüge für „Barangaroo South“, ein neues Stadtviertel im Hafen von Sydney in Australien. Die Aufzüge der Energieeffizienzklasse A sind mit der PORT-Technologie, dem Transitmanagementsystem von Schindler, ausgestattet, welches die gesamten Betriebsabläufe in einem Gebäudekomplex optimiert.

„Barangaroo“ hat mit einer Gesamtfläche von 22 Hektar und einem Investitionsvolumen von AUD 6 Milliarden die Grösse eines ganzen Stadtviertels. Das Quartier soll Beispiel für nachhaltiges Leben im urbanen Umfeld sein. Gebaut am westlichen Rand des Stadtzentrums von Sydney wird es einen grossen Bereich des Hafens der Stadt ausmachen.

Schindler liefert Aufzugsysteme für drei Bürohochhäuser im Handelszentrum des neuen Stadtviertels. Der Vertrag umfasst 78 Hochleistungsaufzüge des Typs Schindler 7000 sowie 28 Aufzüge des Typs Schindler 5500. Alle Aufzüge werden durch die PORT-Technologie von Schindler kontrolliert, welche die Gebäudenutzer durch den gesamten Gebäudekomplex führt und sie schnell und einfach zu ihren Zielorten leitet.

„Barangaroo ist das grösste und wichtigste Immobilienentwicklungsprojekt in Sydney“, so der Managing Director von Schindler Australia, Alex McFarlane. „Wir haben bereits früher mit dem verantwortlichen Projektentwickler - Lend Lease - zusammengearbeitet und freuen uns sehr, dass Land Lease Schindler für dieses wichtige und prestigeträchtige Projekt gewählt hat.“

Positive Energiebilanz

Barangaroo will das erste Stadtviertel von Sydney sein, das vollständig „klimapositiv“ ist. Das bedeutet, es wird mindestens so viel Energie und Wasser erzeugt wie verbraucht und es werden mehr Abfälle recycelt als erzeugt. Die Hochleistungsaufzüge des Typs Schindler 7000 tragen durch das Energierückgewinnungssystems, welches überschüssige Energie zurück ins Elektrizitätsnetz des Gebäudes speist, zu diesem Ziel bei. Die Aufzüge entsprechen der Energieeffizienzklasse A gemäss dem vom Verein Deutscher Ingenieure entwickelten Messstandard VDI 4707.

Die Installation der Aufzüge beginnt Anfang 2013 und soll 2015 abgeschlossen sein.
